Is feeding a raw diet dangerous?
Contrary to what some people believe, feeding a raw diet is safe for both people and their dogs.
Concerned about bacteria? Don’t be! Your dog’s digestive system makes him or her perfectly suited to dealing with bacteria on raw meat and bone, without any danger from salmonella, e. coli, or any other bacteria. And, if you follow the same food safety guidelines when you’re handling your dog’s raw food as you do when cooking for your own family, you’ll be just fine too. That’s right: washing your hands and any surfaces the meat came into contact with is enough to keep you safe from the bacteria.
Feeding your dog a raw diet won’t make them aggressive, give them a disease, or hurt them in any way. We will work with you to safely transition your dog from kibble to raw food, and pretty soon, you’ll be able to see the benefits of raw food in your own dog!
